BASAVIN WINERY was founded in 1913, and it is a producer of wines which regularly get awards at the international contests, which confirms the high quality of the product.
BASAVIN wines perfectly convey the unique terroir characteristic of the Ștefan Voda PGI Region, located in the South of the Republic of Moldova, and which is part of the National Wine Route, registered and in the famous European cultural route "Iter Vitis - Les Chemins de la vigne", certified by the Council of Europe.
BASAVIN WINERY owns over 50 hectares of vineyards planted with Vitis vinifera grape varieties. The winery grows six varieties of grapes, including Chardonnay (4 ha), Muscat (4 ha), Rara neagra (2 ha), Merlot (20 ha), Cabernet Sauvignon (20 ha) and Pinot noir (1 ha).
The winery is proud for creating the best terroir-driven white and red wines, as well as sparkling wines, which have won numerous awards in national and international wine contests.
