The winery SUVOROV WINERY is located in the area delimited for the Protected Geographical Indication "ȘTEFAN VODĂ", in the southeast of the Republic of Moldova.

Company "SUVOROV WINERY" LLC - one of the most flexible wineries in the Republic. The origin of the winery's name comes from the historical monument from the Russian-Turkish war located nearby - "Suvorov's Movila". The company manages to convince the whole world of the sublime quality of Moldovan wines through clever marketing and by associating wines with different aspects of Moldovan culture.

At SUVOROV WINERY, wines are produced from grape varieties grown in the area delimited for the Protected Geographical Indication "ȘTEFAN VODĂ" (PGI "ȘTEFAN VODĂ") namely:

  • Native varieties: Fetească Alba, Fetescă Regală, Fetească Neagra.
  • New varieties of Moldovan selection: Viorica, Riton.
  • Classic European varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, Aligote, Riesling de Rhin, Muscat Ottonel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot noir, Malbec.
  • Georgian varieties: Rkațiteli, Saperavi

The share of white varieties is 48% and of red varieties - 52%.

Factors that make us unique

There are four factors that make us unique: terroir, indigenous varieties, local winemaking traditions and advanced winemaking technologies.

The special terroir of the vineyards is created by the unique climate, the richness of the soil, the complexity of the relief, the presence of the Nistru river basin and the Black Sea breeze.

Brown and podzolic soils predominate, as well as cernozones and common carbonate soils, rich in humus and microelements.

The relief is characterized by medium fragmentation, with semi-deep valleys and hills. The predominant altitude is 120-160 m and the slope is 3-9°. The successful combination of pedological of soils and climatic factors allows the production of high-quality grapes, intended for the production of red, white and rosé wines with PGI "ȘTEFAN VODĂ".

Of course, we rely on people, who have been working in the vineyard for a lifetime, we make wine for people like us, who do their job with skill, rigour and passion, people who know where they want to go.

The quality of the wine depends a lot on natural factors, but also on the human factor, the specialists, who dedication, excellence, innovation and creativity.
